Join the Adventure!

Make lifelong friends and create unforgettable memories!

Every week we help almost 4000 young people aged 5-25 develop skills for life. We'd love to see you there!

Adventurous

As Scouts we discover new things, go to new places, and meet new friends.

Fun

Going to Scouts is never a have to. We make fun an integral part of every activity.

Challenging

As Scouts we get out of our comfort zone, learn new skills, and take calculated risks.

Inclusive

We are committed to making sure nobody feels left out when they come to Scouts.

5-8yrs

Joey Scouts take part in a variety of activities, from cooking and craft to paddling and hiking. We don’t think 5 is too young to lead!

8-11yrs

Cub Scouts go on day hikes, and on longer camps. They even have the chance to attend Cubilee and meet other Cub Scouts from all around WA!

11-14yrs

Scouts transition from childhood to young adulthood, they plan activities they enjoy, and develop a range of skills .

14-18yrs

Venturer Scouts take an increasing leadership role in planning activities. Longer camps and overseas travel are just some of the highlights.

18-25yrs

Rover Scouts put into practice all the skills they have learnt and are self-organising. All the activities are run and managed by the Rover Scouts.

Frequently asked questions

What happens at Scouts?

Every meeting is different, and every Scout group is different, so that’s a really difficult question to answer! Generally speaking though, a group night could involve crafting, cooking, a movie night, various games and team-building exercises. And of course there are the outdoor activities that Scouts is famous for like bush-craft and bushwalking; group events like camping; and WA-wide events that Scouts can participate in. You can find out more about the Scouting experience here:

How do we join?

You begin by registering your interest through a form which you can access through our website (just click the Join Scouts button below). The Group leader will then get in touch with you and invite you to do a FREE TRIAL of three nights so that you can make sure that the group is the right fit for your family, and that your child is happy. After that, you will be sent a Welcome Pack and invited to join ScoutMap, our online platform which helps you keep on top of all things Scouting.

Is it just for boys?

No! Scouts is inclusive of all genders. Girls have been part of Scouting since the 1970s, and our activities cater to a wide range of interests. You can read more about the history of girls in Scouting below, and also about some of the goals Scouts Australia has for women in Scouting.

Testimonials

Scouting has a positive impact across a range of people, from youth members to adult volunteers. But don’t just take our word for it! Hear what some Scouts and leaders have to say about being involved.
