There’s a lot more to Scouting than knots and bushcraft!
Scouting is a rewarding and welcoming experience, regardless of your age, gender, or any previous experience in the global Scouting movement.
Our aim is to provide the support young people need in order to become community leaders. We do this not through formal education, but through our own ‘learning by doing’ program. Each Group puts on unique weekly activities that are tailored to the interests of the members – that’s why there’s no such thing as ‘usual’ when it comes to Scouting!
However, there are some consistencies across groups such as Scouting customs (like our values-based Promise), the uniform, and a commitment to be Respectful, Do What is Right, and Believe in Myself.
You can learn lots about Scouting by reading through the info on our website – but nothing compares to experiencing it yourself! You can lodge an expression of interest here or if you know which group you want to join, you can register here (choose ‘Parent’ from the dropdown menu).
We can’t wait to meet you!
Not sure yet what Scouting is all about?
Scouts has been around for over a century, and we have adapted with the times. Even if you did Scouting as a child, you’ll discover that our new program has altered the way Scouts is run. We would love to show you what a Scout night might look like! But before you sign up, check out some of the below to get an idea of what you can expect.
Volunteering
Have you ever thought about volunteering with Scouts? Some people choose to volunteer week-to-week, while others like to fill in occasionally. If you’ve ever been interested in giving back to your community, making new friends, or just rediscovering your inner child again, we have opportunities for everyone. And we would love to hear from you.
Simply choose Volunteer in the dropdown menu and register your interest.
