Volunteering with Scouts

What Do Volunteers Do?

Week after week, our volunteers empower thousands of young people across our state to learn new skills, make new friends and become valuable contributors to communities.

Our volunteers are the cornerstone of Scouting. They shape young people’s lives, helping them achieve their potential and flourish in a way that would otherwise be unavailable to them.

Volunteers help in a variety of ways – from uniformed Leaders who plan and run the activities on Scout nights, to those who help at the local Bunnings BBQ, all volunteers are appreciated.

Many adults in Scouting are offered leadership opportunities and get to participate in many of the same adventurous activities that Scouts do. Most are just big kids at heart and Scouts gives them an environment where they get to learn new skills and play. There are loads of unique international travel opportunities too, and many leaders build friends for life through their time at Scouts.

Leaders also have access to FREE vocational education and training opportunities

Interested in finding out how you can make a difference in the lives of young people and your community? We’d love you to register your interest in joining the team!
