Scouting is an adventurous fun, challenging and inclusive experience for young people aged 5 to 25.
Scouts WA is an inclusive organisation supporting the development of young people in our Western Australian community – creating moments that challenge, inspire, and connect our young people, sharing extraordinary adventures and unforgettable experiences. If you’re not sure about Scouting, please reach out! We can organise some free trial sessions to see whether Scouting is a good fit for your child and family.
Join your local group and begin a life-changing journey through Scouting, with age-appropriate activities for every child to enjoy.
There are three main ways to join Scouts:
- You’re not sure about which Group you want to check out, or you are simply starting the enquiry process
- You’ve connected with a Leader from the Group you want to join and
- You want to become a volunteer leader
If you’re not sure which group is right for you, if you’re new to Scouting, or if you are simply wanting more information, we can help you once you have lodged an enquiry. All our leaders are volunteers, and as such it may take a few days for someone to get back to you. In the meantime, please don’t lodge a second enquiry! We promise our team is on it. However, if you feel your enquiry has been forgotten, please do reach out to us via email and one of our team can give you an update: enquiries@scoutswa.com.au.
Volunteering with us is super flexible. You can volunteer with a team of people in a variety of roles, capacities, and frequencies. Some people choose to volunteer as a Scout leader weekly, others choose to do so monthly, or choose a more administrative support role. We have opportunities to suit everyone. Simply choose Volunteer in the dropdown menu and register your interest.
