The Program Handbook

Understand how it all fits together

The Program Handbook will help you understand how the program is applied at each age section. It’s essential that you read through and understand the Program Handbook in order to successfully engage youth members in age appropriate ways. It will help you understand the why and how of Scout Leading. You can buy and download a digital or physical copy from the Scout Shop.

Programming

Stuck for ideas? We’ve got you!

Creating adventurous, fun, challenging, and inclusive programs can sometimes be tricky. To help you, Scouts Australia have put together some excellent resources to help you navigate this. There are specific resources for each section, with even some guides to Ceremonies.

Supporting Youth Member Achievement

Everything you need to know about peak awards

While it isn’t compulsory for youth members to achieve peak awards, many work hard towards this as a goal. To help you support them in these goals, Scouts Australia has put together a series of Guides. There are also Guides for Outdoor Adventure Skills and Special Interest Areas to help you plan your program, and assist youth members in achieving their goals.

Scouts | Terrain

Keep track of youth achievement

Scouts Terrain is a digital tool developed by Scouts Australia to help you easily keep track of youth members’ achievements within the Program. The interface is intuitive and carries through each of the age sections with relative ease.

The Scout Shop

Get all your Scout gear here!

We often have people coming to our office hoping to purchase Scout-related items. Unfortunately we no longer hold any items in our Head Office due to space limitations, but you can purchase everything you need (and more!) online.

Other Resources
